Julie’s Biography for New Life Counseling Services

Julie is a master’s level student studying Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Lancaster Bible College, Capital Seminary and Graduate School. She is currently completing her final year of training through practicum and internship work. With previous experience as a behavioral health technician supporting students with emotional and behavioral challenges, Julie brings both compassion and real-world understanding to her clinical work.

Julie’s heart is to walk alongside children, adolescents, or adults, in a collaborative, creative and grace-filled way. She seeks to offer a safe, non-judgmental space where clients feel seen, heard, and truly understood. Her holistic approach considers the physical, emotional, relational, and spiritual aspects of healing, tailoring each session to the client’s unique story. By incorporating evidenced-based interventions, Julie aims to help clients recognize unhelpful patterns and strengthen their ability to respond to life’s many challenges with resilience and self-compassion.  Grounded in a biblical worldview, Julie values the worth and dignity of each person as made in the image of God and seeks to integrate faith and counseling when desired by the client. She provides support for a variety of concerns including anxiety, depression, shame, grief and relational, spiritual, or family/parenting struggles.

Julie is married with three grown children and finds great joy in hosting family dinners and relaxing at their cabin in Tioga County. She also enjoys the beach, long walks, diving into a good historical romance novel or movie, and spending time with her unofficial therapy cat, Bella, who brings warmth and plenty of laughter to daily life.
